Custom Brand & Website Template Customization for Strands + Co

I’m thrilled to share the launch of the new custom brand and website template customization for Strands + Co! When Lauren reached out, she was working hard toward opening her new salon space and reaching toward big goals for her business. She wanted to make it obvious that she is the go-to-gal for blonde hair extensions in Austin, Texas. The Goals:

With big goals on the horizon, Lauren knew she needed to develop brand recognition & credibility to support the growth of her business. It was important to her that her new website would showcase her work, establish trust, and position her as a high-end stylist in Austin, Texas. Together, we identified her brand words as simple, clean, inviting, genuine, quality, and fresh. These brand words would inform the design direction of the custom brand & website template customization for Strands + Co.

The Logo:

Before, Lauren did not have a logo, website or any branding in place for her business. In order to develop the brand recognition and trust she desired, we needed to establish a strong visual identity for Strands + Co. The logo should feel clean, inviting, high end & fresh.

Therefore, we selected a thin clean serif font that would provide a freshness to the whole look. The details in each letter gives it a perfect balance of intricacy & quality. We paired it with a sans serif font for the subtext to make it feel clean & simple.

We landed on a feminine and light color palette. The sun kissed gold tone speaks to the high-end, quality nature of Lauren’s luxury hair extension and color services. Whereas the lighter seashell & pink lemonade colors bring out a feminine, clean & inviting touch.

The Website:

After solidifying the brand direction, we dove head first into her website design. Lauren opted to start with our Windbreaker template as the base for her new website. With big goals on the horizon, she wanted to start small on her website, while leaving room for growth. That made her a perfect candidate for starting with a template and customizing it in a Design Day format. We spent eight hours customizing the template to fit her branding and goals, truly making the template her very own.
